Easy DIY French Manicure/Pedicure

Hello All! Let me preface this post by saying that this is the one and only beauty tip I will ever give you all, because it's the only one I have. Let me also say that through this post I realized that I do not have a future career in hand or foot modeling. So, sorry about these pictures.

Anyway, I love the way a french manicure looks, but I hate paying to get my nails done. Problem is, I don't really have a steady hand to paint only the tips of my nails. So, here's how I do it at home.

Things to gather:

White nail polish, clear top coat, nail polish remover, and q-tips.

Start by painting the top half of your nails with the white nail polish, like so:

Next, dip the q-tip in nail polish and rub off the nail polish until you've got the white tip that you want.

After you've done that, just paint a clear coat on the top and you're done!

Again, sorry about the terrible pictures, and sorry if this is super simple, but it works!

Have a good one!

P.S. Link up to these parties!

  1. NICE!!! Years ago I had a friend who woould wrap scotch tape around her nails, paint the untaped with part with white and then peel the tape off. THIS LOOKS WAAAYYYY EASIER. Thanks, I will be trying this soon.

  8. In stead of scotch tape, I've used the adhesive circles that are used to repair the torn holes in note book paper. This does look easier.

  19. That's really clever! Now why couldn't I have thought of that? I usually have nail polish all over my toes even with a regular colored polish, so I've never even attempted a french pedicure. I don't do my fingernails at all because it lasts about 5 minutes. Thanks for the tip! :)
