So, in light of that fact, I did a Thanksgiving-themed Pinterest project. Here is the inspiration:
Beautiful, right?! So, I started with these gourds from Ultra Foods (for about $9).
Even though the [beautiful] pumpkins above are all white, I like the natural orange and white look of these, so I left them as they were. Next, I used my Cricut machine to cut the letters out of scraps of card stock I had.
I traced the letters on each gourd with a Sharpie and then used black puffy paint I had to fill them in.
After I filled in the letters, I added some extra decoration on the rest of the gourds and set them up on the hutch in my kitchen on some wood blocks that I will soon use for another project.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of light in the evenings when I get home from work (thank you Daylight Savings Time) my pictures aren't as beautiful as they would be with natural light, but hopefully you get the idea.
Anyway, in all the excitement over Christmas, don't forget to celebrate Thanksgiving and GIVE THANKS!
