Dollar Store Candle Holders

Fall is my absolute favorite season and now that we have a house I am all about decorating. So, I took a trip to the dollar store last night and got these mismatched candle holders:

I had seen this excellent lamp makeover from Lindsay's blog where she covered an old lamp using some twine and her glue gun. Brilliant. So, using Lindsay's lamp as inspiration, I Handy Andy-ed it up (oh yeah, just made that into a verb).

Using hot glue and twine that Handy Andy had, I started wrapping the candle holders with the twine.

Once I was done with that, I took some autumn ribbon I had and silk leaves I bought at the dollar store and went to work with my hot glue gun again.

Here they are! The twine wrapping took a long time, but I think they turned out great!

How are you decorating for fall this year?
